Welcome to the home page of the Rochester Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Minnesota. Our chapter averages attendance of 10 to 20 members per month. We meet monthly on the fourth Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Peace United Church of Christ in their group room.

We often have guest speakers at our meetings and we often preview new products to help blind people such as talking thermometers.

Our members also participate in other activities that help blind people, such as serving on the Advisory Committee of the Braille and Talking Book Library.

We are a vital part of state-wide and national organizations that are the oldest and largest in both Minnesota and the nation. As such, we host a state-wide Walk for Opportunity in early September. This walk raises money for Minnesota, and we show off a bit of Rochester by holding it near Silver Lake.

Since public transportation is limited, we offer help with transportation to our meetings by volunteer drivers. Call Michaela Moritz at (507) 208-4439 or Jan Bailey at (507) 288-5335 to line up a volunteer driver pick up.

For more information, call Jan Bailey at (507) 288-5335.
