Wanetta is a problem solver. She would constantly pester her puppy raisers with things she wanted to retrieve, often taking these items away just before the puppy raiser could reach them.

One day, while one of Wanetta's puppy raisers was in the barn getting a horse ready to ride, Wanetta kept throwing a stick at the horse's feet. The puppy raiser threw the stick up and into the hayloft through a hole in the ceiling. Wanetta measured up the situation, decided against going up the ladder to the loft and ran outside. In two minutes, she was back with the same stick.
